Background: Grace was born to Paul and Heather Longley in a small town
outside of Hartford, Connecticut. She is from a family of four, with one
older brother and two sisters (one older, one younger). Grace overall had
a happy childhood, graduating with modest athletic success on her track
and volleyball team. She also achieved academic success, graduating fifth
in her class. She went onto college at NYSU. She wavered at first in her
studies, switching majors several times. Psychology had always been an
interest, however. While a social work major in her second year, she took
"Psych theories of personality" - the class that sold her on her future
career. She remained at NYSU, where she received both her bachelor's and
doctorate. While at college, she met her future husband, Mark Dizario.
She graduated successfully, in the top of her class. She married Mark on
May 23, 2001, at the end of her fifth year of school. She graduated in
2003. October 11, 2003 she gave birth to a baby girl - Emily Rose. On July 5th, she gave Emily a younger brother, Darren.
After graduation, Grace worked for a short time in an abused women's
shelter. She was moved after a bit less than a year to the admissions
department. She didn't particularly care for working in admissions, and
she had always wanted to work with a younger population- which brings her
to Cherry Hollow.
Personality: Grace loves her family - both her husband and children, and
her parents and siblings. She enjoys family get togethers, and hopes to
have at least three children eventually. She also loves her job. Grace is
a hard worker. She is easy going and fun, but serious at work. She rarely
complains, and generally enjoys life. Her husband kids that she is "the
strongest person he knows," thanks to the tireless effort she puts forth
in everything without complaint and with a usually sunny attitude. She
enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, the beach, and warm sunny days. She
prefers open spaces to cities, and dreams of moving out of the subdivision
the family currently lives in soon. When they move, she intends to get a
family dog-or maybe two.
